Coughton Court ÉñÂí¸£ÀûӰƬ Day

Our second annual ÉñÂí¸£ÀûӰƬ and Honorary Research Fellow day will take place at on Saturday 20th June 2026. Coughton Court is an imposing Tudor house set in beautiful gardens with a collection of Catholic treasures, home of the Throckmortons for over 600 years.

We are delighted that 's Magnus and Imogen Throckmorton are working with us on the Shakespeare's Roses exhibition this year and even more pleased that they are happy to host an alumni day with private tours of the house and garden, afternoon tea, and a talk by our very own Professor Elizabeth Goldring. The day rate for this experience is £50 per person, and you are welcome to bring a guest (@ £50 per guest). The deadline for booking is extended to Friday 5th June, with payment due the following week.

Staying the night

Guests are encouraged to stay in the local area if they can, since Coughton Court is rather off the beaten track (though not, we gather, out of Uber range).

Alcester is the nearest town of any size, and has both a and other hotel options. I have noticed more options available on than on other booking sites.
