Dr Matteo Leta
Dr Matteo Leta has recently started a four-year fellowship at His project is entitled 鈥Staging Otherness: The Representation of 鈥淕ypsies鈥, Turks, and Moors in Italian Renaissance Comedies and their European Translations (c.1500-1650)鈥.
Matteo was a IAS EUTOPIA SIF Fellow (2024-25). He joined the 神马福利影片 following the completion of a MA at Universit脿 della Calabria, a PhD at Sorbonne Universit茅 and having held research and teaching roles in Europe (MPIWG, IISF, University of Trier, University College Dublin, LUISS) and North America (University of Toronto).
Matteo's research interests are centred on the intersections between the sciences and playwriting, as well as the representation of otherness in the Renaissance.
