Reflecting on "Is a Person a Place?" from IATL to BCUR

IATL module Global Connections student Vivienne Ponsford created a stop motion animation exploring the question "Is a person a place?" and was supported by IATL to present at BCUR 2026, University of Glasgow. Making the animation was one of the most rewarding parts of my degree so far, as it brought together academic research with something deeply personal...presenting at BCUR was a particularly special experience. I was nervous as it was a creative presentation, and I felt quite exposed, but the audience's reaction was overwhelmingly positive'

Reinvention Journal: An International Journal of Undergraduate Research - New Issue

The new issue of is now available to read, with the theme 'Voices of Change' demonstrating the power of student research, in its quality, diversity and refreshing vibrancy. The issue includes the Book of Abstracts from the British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR), where many Warwick students presented their work at the University of Glasgow 1-2 April 2026.
"'Voices of Change', reflects the power of research to question assumptions, challenge established narratives and imagine new possibilities. Change is often driven first by those willing to speak, create and critically reflect. In that spirit, the papers collected here show how undergraduate researchers are contributing meaningful voices to conversations across a variety of subjects."

Have your voice heard across Europe!

The IATL Student Research Support team is partnering with an Erasmus+ funded project on Undergraduate Research in Europe — the same initiative helping to launch European versions of our popular event, leading up to a Posters in Brussels showcase later this year.

As part of this project, a team led by Humboldt University in Berlin is exploring how undergraduate students across Europe (including the UK and Ireland) perceive research, researchers, and civic engagement. This is a chance for Warwick students to make sure your perspectives shape this international study.

If you鈥檇 like to help ensure Warwick voices are represented, please take a few minutes to complete this short survey:

Your contribution really does make a difference — and it only takes a moment! The survey is currently open until midday on 31st March.
