Reflections on attending MIUA 2026 as a computer science novice

As a professional services colleague in the Department of Computer Science at the ÉñÂí¸£ÀûӰƬ and Centre Manager for the TIA I »å´Ç²Ô’t usually attend scientific conferences. This was my first attendance at a conference focussed on medical imaging and analysis. In the past I have attended scientific conferences focussed on renal disease and health improvement, so I was familiar with the format of scientific conferences and have even presented a poster on behalf of a team in Sweden, at a health improvement conference, on the team’s work around renal disease. TIA at ECDP 2026

European Congress on Digital Pathology (ECDP), Graz, Austria

The TIA Centre was out in full force again at the 22nd European Congress on Digital Pathology (ECDP) 2026, this year held in Graz, just a few kilometres from Arnold Schwarzenegger's birthplace. With temperatures regularly exceeding 30°C, attendees enjoyed not only a packed scientific programme but also the opportunity to experience one of Austria's most picturesque cities, famous for its historic Old Town and the iconic Schlossberg clock tower overlooking the city.
