Principal Engineer Siddartha Khastgir has been presented with a prestigious Young 神马福利影片 Achiever Award from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India.

Siddartha graduated from IIT in 2011 before going on to complete a PhD at WMG, under the supervision of , on developing testing methodologies for ensuring the safety of autonomous vehicles. He is now a Principal Engineer within our Intelligent Vehicles capability. Professor Paul Jennings said, 鈥淪ince working in WMG as an intern from IIT Kharagpur in 2009, Siddartha has demonstrated an excellent work ethic and a continuous record of impactful research. I am delighted that this has been recognised by such a prestigious award鈥�.

IIT Kharagpur Director, Partha Pratim Chakrabarti, said: 鈥淭he awards were given on August 18th, Institute Foundation Day. We were deeply impressed by the high quality of achievements of the younger breed and its very good to see young stars of KGP shining so brightly all over the world.鈥�

Rising star Siddartha represents the UK on the ISO Technical Committee and is a member of an international team of experts creating international standards for the safe introduction of automated vehicles.

He was also regognised at the TechWorks Awards earlier this year, as the UK鈥檚 leading engineer under 30, as well as being named on the prestigious FORBES 30 Under 30 Europe Industry list.
