Angela Daly appointed visiting Professor at Warwick Law School
Warwick Law School’s Centre for Global Health Law is delighted to announce the appointment of Angela Daly as a visiting Professor. is Professor of Law at the University of Newcastle’s (Awabakal lands/Australia) School of Law and Justice and academic visitor at the University of Dundee. She is collaborating with the Warwick Law School’s Centre for Global Health Law as a COI on the Advancing health data justice: A comparative study of health-related data governance in Canada, Germany and the UK project (ADIJUST).
She is an internationally recognised leader in the regulation and governance of data and digital technologies. Her sociolegal scholarship interrogates the legal frameworks governing online information flows, data protection, internet regulation, competition law and intellectual property. She is the co-editor of Good Data (INC 2019) and the author of Private Power, Online Information Flows and EU Law: Mind the Gap (Hart 2016) and Socio-Legal Aspects of the 3D Printing Revolution (Palgrave 2016).
Before joining the University of Newcastle, Angela was Professor of Law and Technology in the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science and at Dundee Law School. She previously held positions at the University of Strathclyde, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Queensland University of Technology and Swinburne University of Technology.
Her appointment at Warwick Law School will enrich our research community and deepen our engagement with some of the defining legal challenges of our time.
