Warwick chef helps combat hunger in South Africa

Warwick staff honoured in Cleaning Operative Awards
Warwick staff have been honoured in this year’s Higher and Further Education Cleaning Operative awards – a new annual award introduced by the British Association of Cleaning in Higher Education (BACHE) in recognition of the value that cleaning and support staff provide within the sector. Congratulations go to Mary Ann Lee, Warwick Accommodation, who has been named Cleaning Operative of the Year 2011. The award was given in recognition of the professionalism and effort that Mary has shown in her work.
Bob Thomson Coaches in China
Bob Thomson, Learning and Development Adviser within Warwick's Learning and Development Centre (LDC) recently spent a week coaching in China at the invitation of the Beijing University of Technology. Bob ran six workshops for academics, administrators and PhD students there, using a coaching approach to help each group explore the issues of most interest to them.
Warwick Welcome Pete Jones
The University is delighted to welcome Peter Jones into its security team in the role of Security Officer. Peter joins Warwick after 35 years of service with West Midlands Police Force. Peter served as a sergeant on the front line for 20 years, and also spent some time in CID.
