Doris Lessing, an honorary graduate from Warwick, was recently awarded the 2007 Nobel Prize for literature.

A.L. Kennedy, who recently joined the Warwick Writing Programme as Associate Professor, has been awarded the prestigious Lannan Literary Award for Fiction.

17 Warwick academics will receive Higher Doctorates in this week's Degree Congregation.
Higher Doctorates recognise and reward published work or papers which demonstrate a high standard of important original work forming a major contribution to a subject.
Warwick Wins Three out of Fifty National Teaching Awards
Professor Ed Peile, Head of Division of Medical Education at the Warwick Medical School, Professor Jonothan Neelands, of the Institute of Education, and Dr Mike Neary, Director of a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, have won three of the fifty National Teaching Awards offered for 2007 by the Higher Education Academy to be used for personal development in learning and teaching.
This means that Warwick has won the maximum possible number of awards.
