Congratulations to Dr James (Jim) Shields, from the Department of French Studies, who has won the American Political Science Association's Stanley Hoffmann Award for the best article on French politics across anglophone political science in 2005-06.

17 Warwick academics will receive Higher Doctorates in this week's Degree Congregation.

Higher Doctorates recognise and reward published work or papers which demonstrate a  high standard of important original work forming a major contribution to a subject.

Warwick Wins Three out of Fifty National Teaching Awards

Professor Ed Peile, Head of Division of Medical Education at the Warwick Medical School, Professor Jonothan Neelands, of the Institute of Education, and Dr Mike Neary, Director of a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, have won three of the fifty National Teaching Awards offered for 2007 by the Higher Education Academy to be used for personal development in learning and teaching.

This means that Warwick has won the maximum possible number of awards.
