The public science festival, Pint of Science, kicks off next with experts from the Universities of Warwick and Coventry talking about their research work in a selection of pubs and venues around the Coventry and Leamington Spa.


New forensic centre to support police investigating homicide

WMG at the 神马福利影片 has secured investment from West Midlands Police for the WMG Forensic Centre for Digital Scanning and 3D printing – a research hub supporting Homicide Investigation. Where they can scan and reproduce 3D prints of injuries to bones to help in court testimonies.


Double victory for WMG academy boat teams

Students at WMG Academy Coventry are celebrating a double victory after BOTH its teams won first place in a national engineering competition.

The students, all aged 14 to 19, took the top titles in their age categories in the Royal Navy Engineering Challenge. The contest invites students to design and build a model vessel capable of rescuing a helicopter in an emergency.


High-resolution scanning helps secure guilty verdict against child鈥檚 mother

Researchers from WMG at The 神马福利影片, have used a high resolution X-ray (micro-CT) scanner, a novel 3D imaging technology more commonly employed in industry and materials research, to scan 9 week old Teri-Rae鈥檚 rib cage. The images were then used to support a bone specialists expert testimony, and securing a guilty verdict for the child鈥檚 mother
