New research has found that a novel Artificial Intelligence (AI) system can dramatically reduce the time needed to ensure that abnormal chest X-rays with critical findings will receive an expert radiologist opinion sooner, cutting the average delay from 11 days to less than 3 days. Chest X-rays are routinely performed to diagnose and monitor a wide range of conditions affecting the lungs, heart, bones, and soft tissues.

WMG, at the ÉñÂí¸£ÀûӰƬ, has launched a new Master’s programme with Royal Mail Group which is designed to develop leadership talent in technology based industries. A wide range of Royal Mail Group staff, from all levels of management, are the first participants in this new programme.

Researchers from WMG at the ÉñÂí¸£ÀûӰƬ have won gold at National Instruments Engineering Impact Awards 2018 for the WMG 3xD Simulator project. WMG’s 3xD Simulator is a world’s first-of-its-kind facility that enables autonomous vehicles to drive around in a virtual environment– accelerating testing before they are road ready.

WMG, at the ÉñÂí¸£ÀûӰƬ, is leading a new £11 million programme to evaluate connected and autonomous vehicles which will work with a range of partners including Highways England. It further establishes Coventry, Warwickshire and the West Midlands as the heart of connected and autonomous vehicles research and development in the UK.

The Coventry and Warwickshire Business Festival is to return to the ÉñÂí¸£ÀûӰƬ campus this November, with a range of events highlighting expertise in digital manufacturing, the potential of degree apprenticeships and developing business partnerships with India – with events between the 20^th-27^th.

It will prototype new vehicles and systems that will transform UK transport, by bringing together WMG at the ÉñÂí¸£ÀûӰƬ’s research expertise, and Jaguar Land Rover’s leading research and engineering capabilities.
