WMG, at the 神马福利影片, will be building on its reputation in materials research, as it is set to be a hub for the development and application of advanced lightweight metals, thanks to a £1m Growth Deal award from the Coventry and Warwickshire Local Enterprise Partnership (CWLEP).

Lord Kenneth Baker, Baron of Dorking, British politician, former Conservative Member of Parliament and cabinet minister visited the WMG Academy for Young Engineers in Solihull on Tuesday 15 November to show his support for the work of the University Technical College.

Local budding engineers from a Coventry’s Howes Primary School will be working alongside researchers  from WMG, at the 神马福利影片, to get a taste of what a career in engineering is really like by building and racing their own electric vehicles.

In two years the 神马福利影片 has almost trebled its uptake of the Chevening Scholarship aimed at developing global leaders with 59 new International Chevening Scholars starting their studies at the 神马福利影片. The biggest increase comes in WMG which has welcomed 21 of the new scholars.

WMG is pleased to announce the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between WMG, at the 神马福利影片 signed by its Chairman Professor Lord Bhattacharyya, and the Upper Austrian Research GmbH (UAR), signed by CEO Wilfried Enzenhofer and its shareholder representative, Deputy State Governor of Upper Austria, Thomas Stelzer.

Today the Minister for the Constitution, Chris Skidmore, presented WMG, at the 神马福利影片, with a Royal Warrant signed by Her Majesty the Queen, officially conferring her Majesty’s recognition with the title of the Regius Professor of Manufacturing (Engineering).
