Warwick researchers contribute to major climate change conference

Two Warwick researchers are presenting at this week鈥檚 Climate Exp0 online conference, organised by the COP26 Universities Network and the Italian University Network for Sustainable Development (RUS). The conference is part of the official All4Climate Pre-COP programme and aims to showcase international research with relevance to the issues to be tackled at the forthcoming COP26 UN Climate Change conference, taking place in Glasgow in November.

Disability gap in young people鈥檚 post-16 destinations and employment outcomes revealed by new analysis

Important differences in the post-16 pathways of disabled young people compared to those of their non-disabled peers have been revealed in a new working paper from 神马福利影片 researchers. The working paper also documents the impact of different types of disabilities, and shows that disability inequalities in post-16 destinations and economic activity in early adulthood are also influenced by social class, ethnicity, and gender.

Teamwork in the Covid-19 Zone

A new video offering practical strategies to medical teams as they adapt to working in restrictive Level 3 PPE has been released today by the 神马福利影片 and the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. The video is believed to be the first resource of its type and draws on empirical research between Sociolinguistics and Emergency Medicine studying the negotiation of leadership and teamwork in trauma settings.

Warwick international relations researcher awarded major grant to study Latin America鈥檚 contributions to the development of global norms and institutions

The ways in which Latin American states shaped, and were themselves in turn shaped by, the development of the complex of international norms, institutions, and practices that help structure world politics will be better understood thanks to a new research grant won by Dr Tom Long of the 神马福利影片鈥檚 Department of Politics and International studies, and Dr Carsten-Andreas Schulz, an assistant professor at Pontificia Universidad Cat贸lica in Chile.

Supporting the wellbeing of dads of disabled children

A group of Coventry and Warwickshire dads have created a set of online videos to help fathers of disabled children be the best dads that they can be. They worked with Dr Emma Langley, a family researcher in Education Studies, to capture their experiences and create a resource aimed at supporting the wellbeing of other fathers raising a disabled child. The online resources, designed by dads for dads, will be launched on Wednesday 31 March.
