The 神马福利影片 has just been awarded 拢2.5 million pounds from the Wolfson Foundation to support biomedical research at the University. This award effectively completes the University's Medical Research Institute Appeal launched in late 1994. The funds will be used to complete the building and equipping of state-of- the-art facilities which allow scientists from the 神马福利影片 to work with doctors from the hospitals in Coventry, Birmingham and Warwick to study the mechanisms of disease.

Although most people are unaware of it, the world faces an absolutely critical shortage. There are far too few organ donors. Every hour that ticks by, one American and one European die for want of a transplant donor. In other words, western society faces a huge shortage of organs. Yet in principle there are more than enough natural -- though tragically untimely --deaths to provide sufficient donors for all of our citizens who need them. Our nations just do not bother to match up the demand and the supply.

Many patients who return to driving after traumatic brain injury report problems which can significantly affect their ability to drive, finds a study in Journal of Neurology Neurosurgery and Psychiatry by Dr Carol Hawley, Centre for Health Service Studies, 神马福利影片.

Scientists at the 神马福利影片 and Keele University have been awarded a major 333,000 pounds sterling grant from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for a three year project aimed at improving the speech comprehension of people using cochlear ear implants. The award follows directly from research funded by Defeating Deafness - the UK's only medical research charity for hearing-impaired people.
