Recent Changes to the University Calendar
Revision to Regulations 8.12, 37.5 and 38 governing appeals relating to decisions of final-year Undergraduate Boards of Examiners
On 20 June 2013, the Chair of the Council, on behalf of the Council, has approved an amendment to to clarify the remit of the preliminary review panel in cases of student appeals against the decision of final-year Undergraduate Boards of Examiners, on the recommendation of the Senate.
On 10 July 2013, the Council confirmed amendments to and , to bring them into line with changes previously approved to regulation 8.12.
Revisions to Regulations 8, 11, 12, 36 and 38
The Council at its meeting held on 11 July 2012 approved revisions to the following Regulations, on the recommendation of the Senate;

Regulation 11 Governing Procedure to be Adopted in the Event of Suspected Cheating in a University Test
Regulation 12 Absence for Medical Reasons from a University Examination for First Degrees
Regulation 36 Governing Student Registration, Attendance and Progress
Regulation 38 Governing Research Degrees
Revisions to Regulations 2, 9 and 23

Regulation 9 governing the Constitution of Boards of Examiners

Revisions to Regulation 4, 8 and 28
The Council at its meeting held on 23 February 2012 approved revisions to the following Regulations, on the recommendation of the Senate;
Regulation 4 governing Annual Review by the Academic Staff Committee
Regulation 8 governing Regulation of First Degrees
Regulation 28 governing the Patenting and Commerical Exploitation of Research Results
Revision to Regulation 37
The Council at its meeting held on 13 October 2011 approved revision to Regulation 37 governing Taught Postgraduate Courses, on the recommendation of the Senate.
