Terms of Reference
The Interdisciplinary Research (IDR) Steering Group will:
- Receive annual reports from Spotlight leadership teams with regards to Spotlights deliverables and future plans of activity.
- Consider and approve changes in Spotlight leadership teams and advisory groups.
- Provide oversight of the Spotlight programme with regards to Spotlight vision and aims and consider on-going relevance of areas of focus.
- Receive Research Centre annual reports from Faculties and review portfolio to identify any duplication and overlaps and if any action or central support is needed.
- Receive updates from the Connect Programmes, the Institute of Advanced Studies, and the Doctoral College creating connections across the interdisciplinary research community and co-ordinating activities across different initiatives as required.
- Provide input to the REF SPRE institutional statement elements on interdisciplinarity.
- Contribute to the co-ordination of interdisciplinary postgraduate research activities.
- Report back to Research Committee on review outcomes and recommendations.
