What is the Assurance Service?
The Assurance Service is a University-wide function, working to embed an assurance culture and supporting the University community to effectively and efficiently manage its compliance obligations, share good practice and support effective implementation of internal controls. Internally, the Assurance Service works with areas of 1st and 2nd line compliance expertise from across the University. Externally, we monitor and disseminate sector best practice and engage regularly with the ).

Together with Internal Audit, the Assurance Service forms part of the Governance, Assurance & Risk Group.

Developed to improve consistency in the management of compliance across different areas, the Compliance & Assurance Framework provides a macro-level structure for approaching compliance institution-wide.
