Below you can see the results from the questionnaires. We have written reports from the in-person workshops, and we have shared the outcomes of those with relevant teams to help support continued improvement in other areas. There is a short summary below of the general outcomes. If you would like access to the unfiltered qualitative data please sent an email to .

Questionnaire findings

How to use this page:

Due to the high ratio of comments there is a lot of filtering that you are able to do.

  • Grey buttons along the top: shows you to group the results into this category (e.g. level of study is split by UG and PG)
  • Top bar:shows the total respondents for your selected filter, and the breakdown of your selected grey button (grouping)
  • Filters along the side: allows you to filter all questions based on your choices- see example below
  • Filters along the top: allows you to choose which group of questions (topic) or which specific question (there were over 100) to see answers from:
    • Topic is split by Academic, Academic SUpport, Administration, Assessment, Campus Facilities, Living arrangements, Preparation for the future, Social adjustments, support from the university (central), Transport arrangements, Understanding and preparing for change, Understanding change, Miscellaneous, Additional questions

Workshop & proposal findings

Most鈥痵tudents spoken鈥痶o as part of the project had chosen to live鈥痮ff-campus鈥痠n their second year and felt they had a lack of knowledge of how to achieve this. Including:鈥

  • Knowing where to live鈥
  • Understanding rent contracts and utilities鈥
  • How to secure off-campus housing鈥
  • How to choose safe, suitable local areas

  • How to remain safe鈥-鈥痚specially at night鈥
  • Where to find suitable flatmates
