Widener University's Chester Campus is located 20 minutes South of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is home to six colleges and schools offering a wide-range of undergraduate, graduate, and continuing studies programs.
From New York, Northern New Jersey, and New England
Take the New Jersey Turnpike South to Exit 2. Proceed on Route 322 West across the Commodore Barry Bridge. Coming off the bridge, follow signs for I-95 North and Philadelphia. Take I-95 North to Exit 6 (Routes 320 and 352). At first traffic light, turn left onto Edgmont Avenue and go over the bridge. Bear right onto Providence Avenue at the fork on other side of bridge.
Go to first traffic light and turn right onto E 14th St. into the main entrance of the university.
From Philadelphia and Philadelphia Airport
Take I-95 South to Exit 6. Bear right at the off ramp. Turn right onto Walnut Street, and right again onto E 14th St.
From Western & Northern Pennsylvania
Follow the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 333, I-476. Take I-476 South to Exit 1, MacDade Blvd. exit. Keep right to take the MacDade Blvd. West ramp. Merge onto MacDade Blvd., which becomes E 22nd St. Turn left onto Providence Ave/PA-320.
Turn left onto E 14th St.
From Delaware, Maryland & Washington, D.C.
Take I-95 North to Exit 6 (Routes 320 and 352). At first traffic light, turn left onto Edgmont Avenue and go over the bridge. Bear right onto Providence Avenue at the fork on other side of bridge.
Go to first traffic light and turn right onto E 14th St. into the main entrance of the university.
From Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Follow I-76 East (exiting the Pennsylvania Turnpike at Valley Forge) to Exit 331A (I-476 South). Take I-476 South to Exit 1, MacDade Blvd. Turn right onto MacDade Blvd., which becomes E 22nd St. Turn left onto Providence Ave/PA 320.
Turn left onto E 14th St.
From Southern New Jersey
Take the Atlantic City Expressway to Rt. 42 North. Route 42 North becomes I-76 West. Follow I-76 West across the Walt Whitman Bridge into Pennsylvania. After the bridge, follow signs for I-95 South. Merge onto I-476 N via EXIT 7 toward Plymouth Meeting.
Take EXIT 1, MacDade Blvd. Keep right to take the MacDade Blvd. West ramp. Merge onto MacDade Blvd., which becomes E 22nd St.
Turn left onto Providence Ave/PA-320.
Turn left onto E 14th St.
From Swarthmore Train Station
Widener students may call Campus Safety at 610-499-4200 for transportation to and from the train station.
Widener University welcomes visitors and guests to our campus. While there is no charge for guest parking, all visitors and guests must obtain a temporary parking permit from the Office of Campus Safety located in Old Main. This office is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Temporary parking permits can also be obtained at Lipka Hall during normal business hours. Passes are valid in accordance with the date and time indicated. Registered and permitted guest vehicles may park in any campus lot with the exception of Old Main Lot unless prior approval has been authorized.

Students, faculty, and staff are responsible for informing their visitors and guests of the parking permit requirement as well as the rules and regulations to park on University property. Widener University is not responsible for any damage or theft involving vehicles parked on its property.
To park in campus lots, full-time, students, faculty, and staff must obtain a parking permit. To request a parking permit, submit your information online through the . The city of Chester enforces a residential permit parking program off-campus on the streets adjacent to Widener University. Two SEPTA bus routes鈥擱outes 109 on Providence Road and Route 113 on Melrose Avenue鈥攃onnect you to the region-wide mass transit network. Both serve 69th Street Terminal and the Chester Transportation Center, where you can ride the regional rail train into Center City Philadelphia.
SEPTA's regional rail line can be accessed only a short drive away at the Swarthmore or Media train stations. This line conveniently takes passengers to key stops in the City of Brotherly Love like University City and 30th Street Station.

Widener Transportation offers courtesy shuttle services to students, faculty, and staff that provide convenient access around campus and to select off-campus locations.
The Widener community can hop on a shuttle to travel around campus with ease or request shuttle services to select stops off campus, such as Wawa, Target, Walmart, CVS, the Philadelphia Airport, Swarthmore Train Station, and more.

Drivers must remain on designated routes for that day, servicing only scheduled stops.
Special requests (e.g., Philadelphia International Airport, Swarthmore Train Station/SEPTA Regional Rail) must be approved in advance by emailing rlamb@widener.edu and are subject to availability.
Widener offers flexible, affordable campus venues for meetings, conferences, camps, and community events during summer and winter breaks.

Widener鈥檚 Delaware Law School and Legal Education Institute are located on U.S. Route 202 (Concord Pike) in the northern suburbs of Wilmington, Delaware. Widener鈥檚 extended learning and graduate business students also attend classes at the Delaware Campus. Near the Delaware-Pennsylvania state line, the Delaware Campus is about 13 miles south of the Main Campus (about a 30-minute drive from the Main Campus).

Widener Commonwealth Law School is located in Harrisburg, PA, just off I-81 and only five miles from the State Capitol, and a two-hour drive from northwest of Widener's Chester and Delaware Campuses.
