Alumnus Joseph Dion Ngute appointed as Prime Minister of Cameroon

Warwick Law School postgraduate alumnus Joseph Dion Ngute has been appointed as the new Prime Minister of Cameroon. Dion Ngute took office on 5 January 2019, replacing Philemon Yang, the country’s longest-serving Prime Minister.


Warwick Law Student Recognised as Leader in Social Mobility

Law student Faryaal Aziz has been recognised as an outstanding contributor to social mobility at the inaugural hosted by Baroness Helena Kennedy in the House of Lords on December 13. Faryaal, 19, who is in her second year studying Law at the ÉñÂí¸£ÀûӰƬ, was one of four Warwick students recognised at the inaugural Student Social Mobility Awards.

Publication Success for Current PhD

Congratulations to our current PhD student and GLOBE Centre administrator Julie Mansuy on her recent publication. Julie is second author on a co-publication with our former colleague Tomaso Ferrando on ‘The European Action against Food Loss and Waste: Co-Regulation and Collisions on the Way to the Sustainable Development Goals’ which was published on the 6 November 2018 in the Yearbook of European Law.


Recent LLM student lands competitive traineeship

LLM student Elina Rage who recently completed her studies in International Economic Law (IEL) here at Warwick, has just secured a traineeship with the European Union Delegation to Vietnam in the Trade and Economics section, starting in October. These positions are highly competitive so this is a massive achievement. We caught up with Elina to find out more.

Current LLM student lands dream job

LLM student Julie Chu is only in the second term of her degree in International Economic Law (IEL) here at Warwick, yet she has already secured a job in London for after graduation. Warwick Law Alumna teams up for second project with Professor Ann Stewart

Professor Ann Stewart, with the assistance of Dr Jennifer Lander, has been asked by (a leading non-governmental organisation campaigning for and with, older people worldwide) to produce a briefing document for them on gender and ageing. Happily, people across the globe are now able to enjoy fulfilling lives for longer but many older people are not well treated. The briefing document will be used to highlight how gender issues affect many aspects of ageing.
