Self-Care & Well-Being

Your physical and emotional health is more important than your GPA. Take time to practice self-care during these stressful days. That can include:

  • Exercise
  • Meditation
  • Breathing exercises
  • Taking breaks
  • Eating well
  • Getting enough sleep
  • Leaning on loved ones for support

Be sure to find time for joy and fun鈥攚hatever that means to you.

It could be as simple as watching a movie with a friend or playing Xbox.

It鈥檚 important, especially at the busy times, to take a short break and find a moment for joy.

Reward Yourself

Topping the list: sleep, spa treatments, and spending time with family and friends.

Holidays Bring Stress

Many of us can鈥檛 wait for the end of the semester to head home for the holidays and be with family. But for others, that brings its own forms of stress, uncertainty, and emotional challenges.

Remember: your holidays don鈥檛 have to look like some picture-perfect Hallmark card. Reframe and manage expectations.

It鈥檚 perfectly okay to spend the time with friends or your chosen family. If you are alone, reach out and connect with others, such as an old friend or a next-door neighbor. And consider volunteering and sharing your time with others.
