Giving back to Widener has taken on a whole new meaning for Rich Massi 鈥97 now that his son is also a member of the Pride.

Inspired by his stories, and a feeling that Widener was home, nursing major and ROTC cadet Meghan Rampolla 鈥25 has followed in her grandfather鈥檚 proud footsteps.

Built on a more than 160-year legacy of adaptation, the School of Engineering is embarking on its next chapter, under new leadership and with new programs designed to prepare students for the careers and challenges of tomorrow.

The Widener Marching Band is marking its five-year anniversary, but bands at the university鈥檚 predecessor institutions stretch back at least to 1864 in the form of drum and bugle units. That milestone and legacy were honored during Homecoming Weekend.

Leth Oun, author of A Refugee鈥檚 American Dream: From the Killing Fields of Cambodia to the U.S. Secret Service, built the foundation for his U.S. Secret Service career at Widener.

The 2023 Alumni Awards recognized the accomplishments of Jill Borin, Donya Moore, Col. Tom Vossler, Ryan Raiker, and Marcia Zaruba O鈥機onnor at an intimate ceremony.

For more than 50 years, co-ops at Widener offer the unique experience for students to get hands-on, paid experience while still graduating on time.

The university鈥檚 connections to the Philadelphia Eagles run deep, as numerous students and alumni have worked for the franchise.

Videos of the first TEDxWidenerUniversity event are live, and we鈥檒l be discussing the talks as a community this spring.
