Hyperbolic Discounting

Hyperbolic discounting is the purported tendency to discount more over early delays (e.g., from now to next week) than over later ones (next week to the week after next). I will describe some previous empirical tests of this hypothesis, and some recent survey studies. In this session I hope to increase your uncertainty and to decrease mine.
