Information about past work at the Modern Records Centre is included in our annual reports and information bulletins (available online from 1996/7 to 2016/7). Recordings of several past events are also available - the student-led Open Education Series, 2014-2016, and the schools project Archives Alive, 2016.
National Union of Mineworkers archives catalogued
A century and a half of history encased in more than 1,500 archive boxes. After three years, conservation and cataloguing of the archives of the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) has been completed.

Yorkshire miners' union archives catalogued
More than 500 boxes of archives relating to the Yorkshire Miners' Association and National Union of Mineworkers Yorkshire Area have been catalogued. The archives cover more than 150 years of mining history, from the mid-19th century to the early 21st.
