Digital Accessibility

Making sure everyone is included at Warwick

Our digital communications need to be accessible this is both a legal obligation and the right thing to do to improve user experience for the most diverse range of people possible.

As a higher education institution we are required to comply with the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018.This is monitored by The Government Digital Service (GDS) and assessed against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA since October 2024.

We should also try where possible to meet the AAA criteria, these are exempt from the legal requirement because they are more difficult to implement but they are no less vital to the users they are designed to include.
