Copy of Why?

Why do we need this?

Who benefits from digital accessibility?

When people think of Digital Accessibility they are usually only thinking of people who have permanent and physically visible accessibility needs.

However this approach is very limiting and ignores those who have temporary reasons like illness, or situational changes such as a room being too loud to hear anything. It also requires users to identify themselves which excludes those who do not feel comfortable doing so, or who do not realise they have additional needs.

You can probably recall a time when you have identified with some of the examples below, even if you would not consider yourself to have accessibility needs.
