What is research integrity and why does it matter?
Research integrity is an essential part of research. It gives confidence to others, including the public, that the methods and results of research are reliable, credible and trustworthy.
What research integrity training is available to me?
The University provides free-at-the-point-of-use access to a dedicated online Research Integrity Training Programme, ‘Epigeum’.
This integrates the principles set out in the .
Two versions of the training are available: A refresher version and a full version.
How can I register?
Whether you require the full or refresher version, you will need to access the course via
Please complete the registration form, ensuring that you use your @warwick.ac.uk email address in the field marked: 'Enter your e-mail address' and your department in the 'institution-specific' field. Once registration is complete, you will be asked for an access token:

Important Notice: The Epigeum Research Integrity training will move from being hosted on Epigeum’s platform to Warwick’s internal Moodle platform on Monday 31 August 2026. There will be no changes to the content of the core training (the Full, Supplementary and Refresher courses). Please note that users who have already registered on Epigeum’s platform will not be able to access any certificates they have previously gained after 31 August. Users must log into their Epigeum account and download any certificates before this date. Users who are part-way through a course are advised to complete the course before 31 August and download the certificate.
With the launch of the training on Moodle, there will be three new courses available which are designed specifically for experienced researchers, these are: Leadership and Research Culture, Research Design and Planning and Ethical and Global Collaboration. Will I receive a certificate once I have undertaken this training?
Yes - certificates are provided upon successful completion of the course. You will need to provide this as evidence that you have completed the training when applying for ethics / sponsorship approval.
