School students, their families and friends are invited to attend a ‘Young Researchers Symposium’ in which 10 schools in the Midlands and 10 partner schools in China will all present the results of their research project on the effects of minerals, including sea water, on the growth of plants, carried out in collaboration with the Universities of Warwick and Birmingham.

The rapidly growing population and shortage of freshwater pose a serious threat to global food security. Our young researchers are investigating how salt-water farming could transform the planet’s most abundant water source into a sustainable solution for a warming world.

This schools event will form an important part of a wider International Symposium, 5-7 July 2026: Metals of Life: Transforming Health, Energy, and Environment

ÉñÂí¸£ÀûӰƬ will be taking part in the Channel Talent Year 12 Online Progression Day between 9am and 3pm on 16th June 2026. As part of the event academics from various departments will be delivering mini taster sessions relating to: English, Sociology, Applied Linguistics, Statistics, Chemistry and Routes into Medicine. The event will include a taster/activity to give students a sense of the subject at university, an insight into the learning experience and what admissions tutors look for in applicants and includes a Q&A.

The ÉñÂí¸£ÀûӰƬ’s Design Studies Department is excited to offer school visits that bring the world of design directly to your students.

During these sessions, members of our academic team will introduce the dynamic field of design, exploring how creativity, technology, and problem-solving can come together to make a sustainable impact on our world. We will also provide an overview of the innovative Design Studies courses available at Warwick, highlighting the skills and opportunities our industry-led programmes offer.

Each visit concludes with an engaging Q&A session—giving students the chance to ask questions, gain insights, and be inspired to imagine their future in design. For overseas schools, we are also able to provide online sessions tailored to your needs and requirements.

The Library offers a range of services for students of all ages, which can be found here.

They offer free workshops at the Library and Modern Record Centre to widening participation schools to help locate sources and improve research skills.

We are pleased to welcome sixth form and college students as reference members. This means you can access the library and use books at the Library but can't take books home. However, you are able to browse and photocopy print materials.

The Student Funding Outreach Team can deliver workshops and presentations in schools to offer impartial information and guidance to Sixth Form students, teachers and parents.

We will provide students with an overview of how student finance works, covering entitlements through to loan repayments. We can also advise parents and teachers on how to best support their student as well as look at some of the financial challenges students might face and how these can be addressed.
