Students make final of National Mooting Competition
Congratulations to Elina Lin (Law) and Jonathan Martin (Politics, Philosophy, and Law) who have reached finals day of the ESU–Essex Court Chambers National Mooting Competition having competed in earlier rounds against The Open University, The University of Leicester (last year鈥檚 winner), and Oxford Brookes. This is one of the longest established national mooting competitions in the UK and to reach finals day is a major achievement.
Warwick Law students win Commercial Law Moot
Congratulations to final-year undergraduate mooters Ewan Lazenby (LLB 3 year) and Hannah Smith (Law with German) on winning the ELSA 2026 Commercial Moot Court Competition.
Law students take part in National Law Triathlon
First year students Ryan Bingham (3 year LLB) and Simran Bhutada (4 year LLB) took part in the National Law Student Triathlon on Saturday 26 – Sunday 27 April 2025, organised by Kent University. Supported by the Bar Society and funded by Warwick Law School, Ryan and Simran have each blogged about their time at the Triathlon, sharing their experiences with other students looking to attend similar events in the future.
WLS makes oral phase of Oxford IP Moot Competition
The Warwick Law School team recently participated in the oral phase of the Oxford Intellectual Property Moot, held in-person at the University of Oxford, from 19-22 March 2025. Following their successful qualification through the challenging written phase, the team represented the university at this internationally renowned competition.
First year WLS students make Student Client Interviewing Competition final
First year LLB students Siara Parveen and Charlotte Neal, successfully completed the regional semi-final of the Student Client Interviewing Competition (CIC) held in Sheffield earlier this month. 鈥淚t was definitely unexpected, but we are both really proud of ourselves [...and] absolutely delighted.鈥
Warwick Law School represented in experimental mooting
Congratulations to Sophie Wong, who took part in the experimental mooting event at the VU Amsterdam in late November 2022. The international moot was attended by teams from China, Indonesia, Rwanda, the Netherlands, Zimbabwe, and the UK (represented by Sophie).
Warwick students take part in experimental moot
Four Warwick law students, who are part of Critical Lawyers at Warwick (CLAW), will be participating in an experimental law moot this week. Chayne Hogan, Kiara McClelland, Charlotte Green and Chanel Williams are the Warwick team traveling to Amsterdam for this innovative moot. This experimental moot, conceptualised by Dr Christine Schw枚bel-Patel from Warwick Law School and Professor Wouter Werner from the VU Amsterdam, is the first of its kind.
