The Wright siblings – Emily, Sarah, and Patrick – have all attended Widener and all have taken part and served as leaders in the Alternative Spring Break program.

The Widener University School of Business Administration launches a new major in sport and event management to give students the opportunity to work one-on-one with industry leaders from major Philadelphia sports teams and event venues.

Widener is proud to announce that Father Gregory Boyle, founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles, California, the largest gang intervention, rehabilitation, and re-entry program in the world, will be the commencement speaker this year. He will also receive an honorary degree.

Widener communication studies and political science students experienced the New Hampshire primary firsthand on a four-day trip to the early primary state.

During a visit to campus, Duncan Wardle, Disney’s former head of Innovation and Creativity, led interactive conversations that sparked innovative thinking across all disciplines designed to transform students into strategic thinkers and leaders.

A mentoring relationship between a nursing faculty member and her doctoral student – now an alumna – developed into a professional collaboration that is producing applicable research to returning service members.
