Giving back to Widener has taken on a whole new meaning for Rich Massi ’97 now that his son is also a member of the Pride.

Inspired by his stories, and a feeling that Widener was home, nursing major and ROTC cadet Meghan Rampolla ’25 has followed in her grandfather’s proud footsteps.

Built on a more than 160-year legacy of adaptation, the School of Engineering is embarking on its next chapter, under new leadership and with new programs designed to prepare students for the careers and challenges of tomorrow.

Widener’s one-of-a-kind MPA/MEd dual degree is preparing graduates for careers in some of the most relevant fields.

The Widener Marching Band is marking its five-year anniversary, but bands at the university’s predecessor institutions stretch back at least to 1864 in the form of drum and bugle units. That milestone and legacy were honored during Homecoming Weekend.

The Pride Night series provides late-night and weekend programming on campus, giving students more choices of things to do, and more opportunities to plan larger-scale events.

Over five weeks, students from Widener’s three campuses took advantage of an opportunity made possible through Widener’s partnership with the August-Wilhelm Scheer Institute in Germany for the first-ever internationally held Innovation Sprint.

Widener and the Philadelphia Union hosted a series of area high school students for field trips to get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to work in sports and the academic paths to get them there.

Another year, another week of Homecoming celebrations at Widener!
