Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is a historically African American fraternity. Since the fraternity's founding on January 5, 1911 at Indiana University Bloomington, the fraternity has never restricted membership on the basis of color, creed or national origin though membership traditionally is dominated by those of African heritage. The fraternity has over 160,000 members with 721 undergraduate and alumni chapters in every state of the United States, and international chapters in the United Kingdom, Germany, South Korea, Japan, United States Virgin Islands, Nigeria, South Africa, and The Bahamas. Kappa Delta Pi

Widener’s local chapter of Kappa Delta Pi fosters excellence in education and promotes fellowship among those dedicated to teaching. Kappa Delta Pi is an international honors society organization and has more than 1.2 million members. Clubs and organizations at Widener are welcome to everyone.

Kappa Sigma

Kappa Sigma is the largest college social fraternity in the world that promotes the growth of its members through fun and brotherhood. Kappa Sigmas main goal is to create world leaders and have its members get involved with their community to better the world. Clubs and organizations at Widener are welcome to everyone.

Keepin' It Trill

Open to:

Undergraduate, graduate, and adult & professional studies students

Keepin' It Trill is Widener's student-run a cappella vocal group. They rehearse weekly and perform a variety of a cappella selections such as "Send My Love" by Adele, Let Me Love You/Closer Mashup, "Run To You" by The Pentatonix, and have recorded Widener's Alma Mater - "Blue and Gold" - by John Vanore. Clubs and organizations at Widener are welcome to everyone.

Lambda Pi Eta - National Communication Honor Society

Open to:

Undergraduate, graduate, and adult & professional studies students

Clubs and organizations at Widener are welcome to everyone. Exemplary communication studies students may join the National Communication Association honor society, Lambda Pi Eta. Lambda Pi Eta is open to undergraduate (full-time and extended learning) students who have completed 60 credits total (cumulative 3.0 GPA) and completed 12 communication studies classes (3.25 GPA). Graduate students may petition to apply upon completion of 12-credits of communication studies-related courses.

Latinos Unidos

Latinos Unidos is a student-run organization that promotes the awareness of diversity throughout Hispanic cultures. We are devoted to emphasizing the importance of heritage and our ability to connect and form a strong fellowship within our Widener community and surrounding Chester community. Clubs and organizations at Widener are welcome to everyone.

Marching Band

The Marching Band brings together the elements of woodwinds, brass, marching percussion, and color guard to perform at football games and other university events. Clubs and organizations at Widener are welcome to everyone.

The Widener University baseball team represents the Pride in the MAC Commonwealth and has consistently finished in the top half of the conference standings with multiple appearances in the conference and NCAA tournaments in the last 10 years. Clubs and organizations at Widener are welcome to everyone.

Men's Basketball (Varsity)

The Widener University men's basketball teamrepresents the Pride in the MAC Commonwealth and has made more than 15 appearances in the NCAA Tournament.

Men's Cross Country (Varsity)

One of the top programs on the East Coast, Widener men's cross country has risen to the top of the Middle Atlantic Conference, winning multiple conference titles while sending both teams and individuals to the NCAA Championships.

Men's Golf (Varsity)

Men's Ice Hockey (Club)

The Widener Ice Hockey Club is a non-varsity club team for students interested in playing competitive hockey. The club competes against local colleges and universities within the Atlantic Coast Conference Hockey League (ACCHL) and promotes teamwork outside of the classroom.

One of the top programs on the East Coast, Widener men's track & field has won more than 20 conference championships and garnered upwards of 65 All-American honors.

Men's Lacrosse (Varsity)

Undergraduate students

Men's lacrosse has a storied history with upwards of 10 MAC Championships and nine appearances in the NCAA Tournament since 2000.

Men's Outdoor Track and Field (Varsity)

Men's Rugby (Club)

The Widener Men’s Rugby Club is a non-varsity team that competes against other Division 2 colleges. A successful squad, the team recently made it to the national final four in Division 2 Club Rugby. Beyond sport, the club's goal is to unite young men who share a passion for rugby and promote teamwork.

Men's Soccer (Club)

The Widener Men's Soccer Club was founded in 2016.  It is a student-run club that competes against other schools in the NIRSA Region 1 Conference (Philadelphia and Mid-Atlantic Division). The goal of the club is to promote the sport of soccer and to provide students with an opportunity to participate in non-varsity, athletic competitions.

A rejuvenated program, Widener men's soccer made its first postseason appearance in several years in 2019 and was represented on the All-Conference and All-ECAC team multiple times.

Men's Swimming (Varsity)

Undergraduate students

With a history of excellence, widener men's swimming has claimed more than 10 conference championships since 1994 and earned more than 10 All-America honors.

Men's Volleyball (Varsity)

Open to:

Undergraduate students

Started in 2017, the Pride is a charter member in men's volleyball in the Middle Atlantic Conference and continues to make forward progress on an annual basis.
